The Role | Senior Brand Designer

Initially engaged as a contractor to enhance Crossbeam's visual marketing endeavors, I swiftly transitioned to a full-time role within a month, becoming their focal point for the overall brand. Web pages, icons, sub-brands, printed and digital marketing collateral, technical papers, ebooks, graphics, and animations were all conceptualized and executed by me.

I contributed to recruitment decisions, established marketing and product teams, developed UI and UX, and even crafted a mascot. I created both Digital and Print material as well as booth designs for conferences all on brand. I collaborated closely with our industry partners to devise successful marketing plans for our mutual integration's go-to-market strategy, while consistently propelling the brand into innovative and uncharted territories.

The Challenge

When entrusted with the task of transforming a brand from inception to greatness by the incomparable Bob Moore, you rise to the challenge and get to work.
My journey with Crossbeam spans five enriching years, during which I've accumulated a wealth of experience and a portfolio that's just a glimpse into the mountains of projects I've been fortunate to be a part of.

Web Design

During my tenure at Crossbeam, I had the privilege of revamping our online presence multiple times. I saw this as a significant opportunity to elevate our visual identity. Your website is often the initial point of contact for people online, and I aimed to infuse a sense of joy and usability into every design, ensuring a memorable user experience.

Illustration

Every aspect of visual design at Crossbeam was hand-illustrated by myself. This includes all empty-state graphics, blog posts, visual infographics, presentations, and ebooks. Always on brand and looking great. I have completed over 300 individual blog post images. Here are a few.
Digital Ads

Imagine orchestrating an ensemble of ads, each a carefully crafted note in a symphony of brand resonance. At Crossbeam, we don't just create ads; we compose bold stories in microseconds. In a digital world moving at the speed of thought, every pixel counts.

We know what makes an ad perform, not just exist. It's more than pixels and text; it's psychology and creativity in harmony. Every color, every line, every word is meticulously chosen to resonate and provoke action. Because an ad is not just an ad; it's your brand's anthem in a digital world.
Ebooks

Over the past 5 years, we have crafted more than 10 ebooks, varying in length and totaling over 350 pages of infographics, typography, illustration, typesetting, and a wealth of valuable information harvested from online surveys and customer interactions.
Brand Books

Creating brand books for your company is a significant aspect of being a brand designer. You want your entire team to be on the same page, and you also want others to be able to replicate what you do. Maintaining a cohesive look throughout your entire organization is paramount for a successful brand.
Mascot

Originally conceived as a fun Hackathon project, it gained such popularity that we opted to create merchandise featuring our 'mascot.' It subsequently evolved into a tangible reality! It's truly amazing to witness how something initially crafted for amusement has now become a significant aspect of our team and events in the partnership space. People love PAM and it has really made me proud.

Sub-Brands

Whether through acquisition or by internally establishing brands under Crossbeam's umbrella, I have consistently faced the challenge of creating sub-brands that maintain a strong aesthetic connection with our parent brand. Here are a few examples of what I've created for Crossbeam. Each one has it's own brand books and guidelines.

Animation

I have had the privlage of creating some fun animations for the work I have done for crossbeam as well.  This animation work has gone into everything from blog posts to the website, and even on stage at conferences.
Internal Team Fun

Here's another tale of us letting loose in the wild branding jungle at Crossbeam! I thought, 'Why not spice things up and turn our teams into swaggering squadrons?' So, I conjured up unique designs for each department. We dove into the creative chaos, gathering input and cooked up some mighty fine merch. All of them had to do something with Crossbeam. Hope you enjoy :)
